 February 10th, 2012 - February 12th, 2012 Chocolate & Wine Weekend on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail Enjoy a self-guided tour around beautiful Seneca Lake. Pick up your gift item at your assigned starting winery then start sampling chocolates, or foods prepared with chocolate, creatively matched with their wines. Over the 2-1/2 day event, visit over 30 unique wineries and enjoy a weekend of fun and relaxation. Regular tickets purchased in advance are $30 per person.  
 February 10th, 2012 Wegmans "A Salute to Chocolate" food and wine pairing event at Deer Run Winery 3772 West Lake Rd. Geneseo, NY  14454  - 5-8 PM

February 11th & 12th 2012 A Romantic Adventure - Cayuga Lake Wine Trail
Travel “Off the Beaten Path” and celebrate Valentine’s Day with the wineries of the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake!  On Saturday & Sunday, February 11 & 12, you are invited to attend this non-ticketed event (tasting fees may apply).  Pick up a “passport” at any of the participating wineries, enjoy a day of wine and discovery, and receive “tokens of love” at each stop.  Each $10 purchase at any winery earns you one raffle ticket with a grand prize of a $100 gift certificate at the Inns of Aurora.  Participating wineries are:  Six Mile Creek, King Ferry, Long Point, Bet the Farm, Dill’s Run, The Apple Station, Izzo’s White Barn, and CJS.  Call 800 439 5271 for more information.

The Mystery Game returns to Deer Run Winery for another round of “We, The Jury”.  This is a live, audience participation show where the crime has already happened, and the audience is the jury.  “The Case of the Deadly Cold:”  When 96 year old millionaire John Beresford III died during the night no one was surprised—least of all his killer.  On trial are his doctor, the nurse, the housekeeper and the tutor of his children.
Come on down for an evening of hilarity as you decide who is guilty or innocent!!!

Jury”.  This is a live, audience participation show where the crime has already happened, and the audience is the jury.  “The Case of the Staged Suicide:”  Police discovered the body of Lucinda Hartney hanging from a rafter in her kitchen.  They also concluded that Ms. Hartney had been hung by another party, and that this was a case of murder made to look like suicide, not suicide!  On trial are Lucinda’s work colleague, friend, landlord, and neighbor.

March 23rd - March 25th, 2012 Cruisin the Tropics on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail Pull out your tropical shirts, put on your sunglasses, go sockless in your boat shoes, wear your favorite beach hat, and join us for a weekend of relaxation in the tropics . . . just remember, life is what we make it! Each ticket holder receives a gift item at their starting winery. A self-guided tour "cruising" around beautiful Seneca Lake, visiting over 30 unique wineries, each with their own tropical theme, over the 2-1/2 day weekend of "fun in the tropics". March 24th & 25th 2012  Central NY Maple Festival Marathon NY Cortland County - A tapping of maple trees, some as old as the area itself, has been a tradition in Cortland County from the days of Indian culture. January 28th - Owl Prowl - SterlingNature Center, 15730 Jensvold Rd., Sterling.  Nesting season has begun for the great horned owls.  Join Naturalist Jim D’Angelo for an indoor introduction to the great-horned owl and other NYS owls.  Then venture out on an owl prowl looking and listening for the nocturnal kings of the sky.  Free and open to the public, dress for the weather.  7pm.   315-947-6143

January 29th - Willard Chapel Concert - Willard Memorial Chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn.  Concert featuring Lou Nocilly and the musical group Jazzitude.  The jazz band members, Lou Nocilly (sax), Mike Burns (electric bass), Dave Chitambar (drums), Mark Chitambar (guitar) and Warren Robinson (vocals and trumpet) have been involved in the music scene for many years.  Their jazz is audience-friendly and also includes bossa nova and samba.  This is a benefit for Willard Memorial Chapel.  Tickets are $10/person at the door.  Refreshments will be served during intermission.  2pm.  315-252-0339
 January 29th – March 18th - Both Ends of the Rainbow - Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, 205 Genesee St., Auburn.  This annual exhibition will feature over 1,000 works of art by local students and senior citizens from Cayuga County. 315-255-1553
